More about this Plugin
The
RSS Feed Plugin allows to display the latest item in a generic RSS feed, or alternatively the latest tweet in a
Twitter feed.
Configuration
You can use the following syntax:
{RSS:http://path/to/the/rss/feed.xml}
{Twitter:http://twitter.com/statuses/user_timeline/user-id.rss}You can also specify:
- the number of entries to be displayed
- choose if open links in a new window
- choose how many words are displayed for description
using the following syntax:
{RSS:http://path/to/the/rss/feed.xml|entries=7;newWindow=true;words=500}
{Twitter:http://twitter.com/statuses/user_timeline/user-id.rss|entries=7;newWindow=true;}All configuration keys and their values are case-insensitive, and the order does not matter.
The
newWindow key works both with
true/
false,
1/
0 and
yes/
no.
Discuss
It looks like this plugin doesn't support ATOM (e.g., http://www.qsrweb.com/RSS/rss.php). Am I incorrect, and/or is there an alternative plugin anyone is aware of?
Currently, only RSS is supported.
I have the plugin successfully installed, and if I grab a random RSS feed off of the internet, it displays. However, the RSS I need it to display doesn't show up when I put it there. I can change the properties of the RSS if that's what's needed to get it to display, but if that's the case, a list of minimum properties for this to work would be helpful. My RSS feed does meet the minimum W3C standards.
My RSS feed can be found here:

Please let me know what needs to be done to get this working.
Thanks,
Misty Fowler
