Admin - Namespaces Screen

The Namespaces screen allows to perform the following tasks:

• create a new namespace
• edit an existing namespace (including setting its theme)
• set the permissions of an existing namespace.
  

Note: the theme of the root namespace can also be set in the configuration page.

Renaming a Namespace¶

You can rename an existing namespace using the appropriate text-box and button. In doing so, however, all existing links incoming from other namespaces will be broken.

Note: you cannot rename the root namespace as its name is implicit.

Permissions¶

When editing namespace permissions, always keep in mind that sub-namespaces inherit permissions from the root. Simply put, when you create a new namespace, it behaves like the root by default.

You can apply a set of permissions to any number of subjects (either users or groups): the yellow frame lists the subject for which there are permissions set. You can also search for other subjects (use the Search button), add them to the list and set their permissions.

Note: you must click the Save Permissions button to save the changes.

Permissions Templates¶

The Permissions Templates link shows a list of pre-configured permissions templates that you can apply to a namespace.
