We were in the market for an IT system inventory/config wiki. We were about to pull the trigger on MediaWiki, but we didn't really want to add PHP and MySQL to our platform management load. I stumbled across STW in the Microsoft Web Platform Installer when installing MediaWiki/PHP/MySQL on a Windows server. I thought "what the heck, I'll give it a try," and it's been such a good experience so far that I think we are going to ditch MediaWiki and stick with STW for now.
I know it's GPL v2, but if it continues to work this well for us, we'll probably be sending a donation your way anyways. I cannot believe how good this tool is, and it runs so FAST for an ASP.Net app.
I was amazed at how easy it was to get the Integrated Windows Security and the STW AD provider working in concert. As easy or easier than some of the expensive COTS packages we deploy, for sure.
I love the namespaces, and the nice GUI for administration work. I can handle config files (a la MediaWiki), being the old-time UNIX/Linux guy that I am, but it's sooo Web 1.0.
Thanks again and keep up the great work!
